“After passing my Commercial Multi-engine checkride yesterday, I wanted to take this opportunity to write you a note of thanks.

From beginning to end, working with The Aviator’s Institute was an absolute pleasure.

The ground school was informative, well presented, and the folder of documents you sent was amazingly thorough. Everything I needed was always right at my fingertips and I was able to study/review anything whenever I had a free moment.

The aircraft was BY FAR the nicest training aircraft I’ve ever flown. One of my least favorite parts of my previous flight training was both the condition and equipment (or lack of equipment) found in some of the training aircraft in the area. Even a modestly equipped B55 Baron would be a big step up from most multi-engine trainers, but N1821W adds to that with a fully equipped, modern panel and great cosmetics. At this point in my training and pilot career, I appreciate professional level equipment to compliment the professional level instruction.

Last but not least, I want to thank you personally for your knowledge, experience, and the professionalism you brought to the training. During all of our flying, I was always aware that I was dealing with a long term, highly experienced instructor, not a young pilot building time on their way to the airlines.

It all added up to a successful checkride, and I walked away with the realization that I had been trained to greatly exceed the checkride standards, but more importantly to be a safe and competent multi-engine pilot with the tools needed to safely build on those skills in the years to come.

I will be recommending The Aviator’s Institute to any pilot considering a multi engine add-on. Seeking training anywhere else would be selling themselves short, and that’s never a good idea in the world of aviation."

Intense training! In actual IMC, low ceilings, turbulence, rain... just like an ATP would have to perform in! I can't recommend the team at the Aviator's Institute more highly! Great Program!

Was told about this program from a mutual friend who also took the Multi engine course. I was very pleased with the thorough instruction and passion Andy the owner has. I can not thank The Aviator's Institute & Andy Jones enough for the exemplary instruction, care, professionalism, and safety provided during this short multi-weekend course. 

I chose the The Aviator's Institute because I knew I wanted to be pushed mentally, academically, and I received just that. I strongly urge you check out his program. You get to fly an incredibly high performance Beechcraft Baron cheaper than surrounding programs with “trainer twins”. Andy supplies you with his own plane on a wet rate and unlimited ground at no cost.

Although I had many instructors throughout my training, I can confidently say Andy is by far one of if not the best. He brings an arsenal of knowledge and theory to the table, but is skilled enough to always make it incredibly entertaining and making you leave craving for more.

Looking to add a multi-engine rating to your certificate? Don’t want to just go through the motions and pass a checkride? I started training with The Aviators Institute with the goal of achieving my Commercial AMEL in our family’s Piper Aztec. I had Andy Jones as my instructor. Not only was Andy extremely knowledgeable about multi-engine training in general, but the wealth of knowledge he had on Piper Aztecs was unparalleled. I had a great experience with the actual flight training portion of it. Andy is an incredible instructor with a great personality and an eye for doing things safely, a perfect balance of “by the book” and “common sense” teaching. More than that he’s got a great knack for teaching safe real-world flying for twins. All the air work that I did, in addition to that required for the rating, was to simulate real-world emergencies and scenarios. I feel better, knowing my passengers are safer flying with me because I chose “The Aviators Institute”. I had a similarly good experience with the ground school portion of the training. I had great support in finding training materials and books. More than that I was exposed to Andy’s knowledge of aircraft systems from the hours spent studying the poh and aircraft systems. I scheduled my check ride knowing I was prepared 100% for success and I was right! Everything presented in the ride I had been trained thoroughly on and had no surprises, the perfect recipe for a pass on the first time! I am grateful to have chosen The Aviators Institute for my flight training. They were there for me before, during, and after training and I had a terrific experience.
